Role Definition: 


Hands-On Kitroom Manager with Practical High-End Cinema Equipment Experience 



Role Overview:


We are looking for a team player with genuine passion for the camera department and a solid, deep understanding of high end cinema camera equipment. This people’s person and team leader, will be trusted to independently ensure completion of varied daily tasks across their department. This role requires ability to adapt to diverse timelines and specific requirements of the day to day operations of the business. It will best suit a strong and confident communicator and delegator who will inspire outstanding standards of work, overseeing and motivating the team to deliver the highest quality of equipment and experience to clients.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prioritizing completion of daily operations based on their urgency

  • Scheduling and managing a team of kitroom technicians and drivers in collaboration with the Operations Manager

  • Overseeing the preparation process of equipment including, high end cinema cameras, lenses and accessories

  • Ensuring general equipment cleanliness and guaranteeing compatibility across varied kit elements included in a case specific camera package

  • Documenting and ingesting any newly acquired equipment onto the company database 

  • Accounting and reporting any damage or missing components of equipment in a timely manner 

  • Providing support and aid to any clients conducting equipment preps on the premises ahead of a shoot

  • Conducting regular equipment maintenance, firmware updates as well as basic equipment repairs

  • Ensuring good stock levels of spare parts and consumables are maintained to meet varying needs of the department

  • Recruitment of any potential new kitroom team members 

  • Working in very close collaboration with the Director of Operations, Operations Manager and Lead Client Contact as an integral part of the business


Experience Requirements:


  • Experience working in a managerial role within a Kitroom at a rental company, or with equivalent transferrable experience, or at least 3-5 years as a Senior Kitroom technician elsewhere who are ready to progress their career.
