ROLE DESCRIPTION


We are looking to hire an Office Administrator to work closely with our Bookings Department and our Accounts Team. Some main tasks include: assisting with account setup, checking trade references and insurance documents, invoicing and credit control, organising cross hires to and from other rental companies, liaising directly with clients, general office management, answering calls, organising team days and events. This is a multi-tasker’s dream job, ecclectic everyday tasks and working within a fun and dynamic team at a independent and vibrant business at our Brockley based premises.



We are looking for someone with previous administrative experience in an office environment, preferably within the film, media or other creative industries, excellent organisational and streamlining skills, exceptional verbal and written communication, and comfortable answering the phone and using email, Gsuite & other communication tools. Someone who is extremely assertive who is good at managing their own time and organising themselves. A real team player, with the ability to thrive in a busy and extremely varied role within a growing business.


THE ROLE


  • Assisting the Bookings Department 
  • Account set up 
  • Checking Trade references
  • Checking insurance documents
  • Invoicing and chasing payments
  • Organising cross hires from other rental companies
  • Chasing clients for confirmation on details for the job (delivery timings, location etc)
  • General office management 
  • Managing missing and damaged items
  • Postage/shipping
  • Answering calls 
  • Organising team days and events
  • Management of office facilities 
  • Managing company subscriptions 
  • An eye on Sustainability 


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


  • Previous administrative experience in an office environment, preferably within the media or creative industries
  • Excellent organisation skills 
  • Good verbal and written communication 
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Comfortable using email, Gsuite & other communication tools
  • A team player, with the ability to work well in a busy and varied role 
  • A positive, Can-do get-it-done attitude

We are proud to be the first rental house in the United Kingdom with a female Founder and Managing Director and one of two that we know of in the world.


Emmyland is a truly independent rental house, with its roots and heart being birthed from within the Camera Assisting community. We are run by ACs, for ACs, so that Cinematographers will only have the very best equipment to work with with us as suppliers.
